Best Poster 2025

We invite poster submissions for the SICSA Best PhD Poster in Scotland award from our vibrant research student community to celebrate ground-breaking research across Scottish Institutions.

Poster Competition

The PhD Poster Competition celebrates the diverse and dynamic research endeavours pursued by postgraduate students in computing throughout Scotland. Postgraduate researchers from all academic years and fields are encouraged to present a poster showcasing an aspect of their work.

Advice

These posters should provide a succinct overview of the research, captivate viewers visually, and remain accessible to a broad audience of computing-related academics.

Poster Presentation

All submitted posters will be displayed at the SICSA PhD Conference 2025 and evaluated by a panel comprised of members from Scotland’s university research community. Outstanding posters will be recognized with prizes and certificates.

Benefits

This competition not only fosters the growth of Scotland’s computing research community but also offers insight into the extensive array of postgraduate research projects underway.

12pm – 5th June 2025

Poster Competition Submission form

We provide some guidance below:

Posters must be directly related to the entrant’s postgraduate research. 
The content can be comprised of any aspect of your research output, ongoing work or completed work, including previously published work. 
Each postgraduate researcher is limited to submitting one poster. 
Submissions will include: 
150-word abstract about their research area (references not necessary) 
PDF version of the PDF 
Posters must be submitted in portrait orientation 
File should be no larger than 100 MB 
File should be able to be printed at A1 size 
Any pictures must be a minimum of 150dpi at the size as if they are being printed
